Way Out

Who wants to wait in line
I'm waiting every night
Who wants to change his mind
I change it once or twice
Who floats a nine to five
I fuckin' fly by night
And skip a million time
I skip at five to nine
Who's coconut the lime
It's such a petty crime
Who's chokin' on the vine
I choke it once or twice
Who's feelin' mighty fine
I'm feelin' much maligned
I'd hang my head and cry
Cut and cut every night
Right in front of me, a death to call mine
Just across from me, a jewel in amber pearl
Another axis for the weak in the letter

Locked Up

I would – never – choose to – take the
Easy – way out – from this – failure
Sundown – in the – place where – we know
Sunup – is the – only – answer
Take now – give now – cycle – time crunch
Boredom – keeps you – freedom – eats you
Rusty – cages – could not – hold them
Why do – you think – they could – hold me
Torn and flayed
Lacerate
Workaday
All the same
Each of – us has – daemons – locked up
Tightly – where we – dare not – enter
Races – places – faces – spaces
Traces – of your – uncured – cancer
Tender – feelings – get in – the way
Of our – chances – at the – big stage
Push them – down and – lock them – up and
Let those – daemons – feast on – failures
Pot of prey
Set aflame
Adrenaline
Taste again
When you cut it away, will you feel it? I gotta know
Skin in a bag, is it real yet? Truth be told
When you cut it away, will you feel it? I gotta know
Take on – too much – all at – once and
Watch the – others - laugh to – gether
One more – project – creeping – steeping
Will it – ever – become – worthy
Every – ago – nizing – week it –
Sits there – with part – of your – being
Out of – your con – trol it – remains
Still your – love is – all it – contains
Lord and state
Bed unmade
Masticate
Dinner plate

The Ride

One night we went out for a ride
When we got to where we were going I could barely believe my eyes
There were bridges burning in every direction
One by one they crashed down along with my alibies
It quickly became clear
There was no way out of here
The time for taking prisoners was through… Everybody dies
Next thing I know everything’s turning red
It’s not easy holding onto the hilt when it’s lubricated by the dead
Battle gives a whole new meaning to bloodshot eyes
I was only in this so my family could get fed
Then I overcame my fear
They came at me all at once so I cut them all ear to ear
In the next part of my story I am getting laid
Got the money, got the power, got the women, got them all in spades
But nothing ever lasts and this story does not end well
It’s too hot, it’s too bright, got no water, got no shades
I don’t know if you can tell
But I am writing this song from hell and I’m
Ready to make my escape, I’ve been planning for decades
So I built up an army of bloodthirsty ghouls
They rose from the depths at my request and now I’ve made them all my tools
They’re trained by the best in the ways of the samurai
So that wave after wave of daemon scum will die
Time to kick this into gear
The war lasted 10,000 years until
The prince of darkness fell to my blade in a duel

God Mode

I'll not hear what you're saying to me
You won't care what I'm praying
There's too much faith in evidence
I hope I'm keeping you satisfied
I've found dissatisfaction
Better suited to loneliness
I don't doubt that you and I could agree
On what I learn from what you fail to teach
And I won't kill what you would not breed
But the rest looks quite appealing to me
I'll not care what you're saying to me
You won't hear what I'm praying
There's too much evidence in faith
I'd say the paper missed the press
We prefer flagellation
Falling on deaf ears I guess
